Tesco Hudl 2 launched with a price of £129, and the tablet will be available in 8 variant colors (Jazzy Blue, Zesty Orange, Slate Black, Rocket Red, Tropical Turquoise, Dreamy White, Perky Purple, and Bubblegum Pink).
The Tesco Hudl 2 sports an 8.3-inches touchscreen display with 1920 x 1200 pixels HD resolution and 273ppi. It is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. It also comes with 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 48 GB.
The Hudl 2 comes with dual-band Wi-Fi for connectivity and also has a powerful battery. Tesco claims 8 hours of normal usage on a single charge. The tablet houses a 5-megapixel rear snapper and also a 1.2-megapixel front-facing snapper.
The Tesco Hudl 2 is running on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. Still, there is no word on whether this will be upgradable to Android L. Tesco also includes its Blinkbox media software to offer music, books, TV shows, and movies from one place.
The Hudl 2 is aimed at families and with that in mind comes with “some simple tools to help keep you and them safe and happy,” says Tesco.
The device will be available in the market from 9th October 2014 and can be snapped up for a wallet-friendly £129.
