Starmobile has launched a new smartphone in the Philippines, dubbed Up HD. Its official price is Php 4,990 and is listed on the company’s Facebook official page.
The Starmobile Up HD runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and supports dual SIM (Regular + Micro / WCDMA+WCDMA) with dual 3G standby. It boasts a MediaTek MT6582 chipset and is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A7 processor.
The Up HD handset features a 4.7-inch IPS display with HD 720 x 1280 pixels (312ppi) of resolution and 16.7 million color depth. It further includes a Mali-400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The 8GB of internal storage is also further expandable with up to 32 GB Micro SD.
Starmobile Up HD further includes WLAN, WiFi hotspot, Miracast, Chromecast, FM Radio, GPS, A-GPS, and FOTA in terms of connectivity options. The phone houses a 5-megapixel front camera with flash and also houses an 8MP AF BSI sensor at the back with an f2.0 aperture, 5P Lens, and Blue Glass Filter that supports 1080p @ 30 fps video capture.
The Up HD supports a 2-Axis accelerometer, proximity, and light sensor. Its dimensions are 137 x 68 x 8.1 mm, and its weight is 137 gm. It is fueled by a 1800mAh Li-ion battery rated for up to 9 hours of talk-time and up to 250 hours standby.
