Starmobile has launched a budget smartphone in Philippines, dubbed as Turbo. It can be purchased in homeland with a price Php 6,990 (About Rs. 9,800 or 157 USD).
The Starmobile Turbo sports a 5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with HD 720×1280 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex-A7 processor and coupled with MediaTek MT6582M chipset. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and has Dual Core Mali-400MP2 GPU for better graphics.
The Turbo is a Dual SIM (WCDMA+WCDMA) device and features dual standby with 1GB of RAM. It has also 4GB on-board storage that is expandable with up to 32GB of microSD card. The phone house a big 12 MP BSI back camera and also boasts a 5 MP BSI shooter at the front for video calling and selfies. The primary camera features autofocus and LED flash.
The Starmobile Turbo comes with a Li-Ion battery of 2000mAh capacity, that is rated for up to 6 hours of talk-time and up to 250 hours of standby time. In terms of connectivity options, it include FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth V4.0, micro-USB v2.0, hotspot, tethering, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and A-GPS. It measures 145 x 71.5 x 9.9mm and weighs 172gms.
