Sony has unveiled the Xperia Z4 Tablet at MWC in Barcelona.
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet features a 10.1-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2K display and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The 32 GB of internal memory is also expandable with up to 128 GB via microSD card.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with a tablet-optimized Xperia launcher on the top. It houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with a Sony ExmorRS sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet is 6.1 mm thick and weighs 389 grams (WiFi only) / 393 grams (WiFi + LTE). The device has a surround sound audio effect with support for Hi-Res audio playback and digital noise canceling. It has connectivity options 4G LTE, 3G HPSA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and aGPS.
According to Sony, the Xperia Z4 Tablet is backed by a 6,000 mAh battery under the hood of 167 x 254 x 6.1 mm, which is rated for up to 17 hours of video playback. It will be available from June 2015 in WiFi-only and WiFi + 4G LTE variants globally. However, there is no information on the pricing yet.
