Sony Xperia E4 With 5-Inch qHD Display and 1.3GHz Quad-Core SoC Launched

Sony has unveiled a new affordable smartphone dubbed as Xperia E4. The handset will be available in the middle of February in single and dual-SIM variants. However, now there is no official pricing available.

Running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, the Sony Xperia E4 features a 5-inch IPS LCD with a qHD 540×960 pixels of resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device bears 8GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via a microSD card (up to 128GB).

In terms of camera, the Xperia E4 includes a 5-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and also boasts a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. It is fueled by a 2300mAh battery that Sony claims provide two days of battery life. The Japanese firm has also included Battery Stamina and Ultra Stamina modes to help.

The Sony Xperia E4 and Sony Xperia E4 Dual smartphones will be made available in Black and White color variants. It features Sony’s OmniBalance design philosophy that looks significantly different from other recent handsets from the company, including its predecessor, the Sony Xperia E3.

The Xperia E4 smartphone comes with curved edges, textured back panel, scratch-resistant display, diamond-cut aluminum power button, and stainless steel camera ring. Sony is also touting interchangeable back covers and a customizable UI with options to choose themes.
