Sharp has unveiled Sharp Aquos XX for Japan, which is scheduled to launch in late June 2015. However, there is no word on pricing yet.
The Sharp Aquos XX features a 5.7-inch full HD S-CG Silicon LCD (1,920 × 1,080 pixels) touchscreen display (up to 1,677 million colors) under 79 × 146 × 8.7mm of dimensions. The device comes with W-CDMA (900 MHz / 2.1 GHz), FDD-LTE (900 MHz / 1.7 GHz / 2.1 GHz), AXGP (2.5GHz) for Japan and also has W-CDMA (900 MHz / 2.1 GHz), FDD-LTE (1.7 GHz / 2.1 GHz), GSM (900MHz / 1800MHz / 1900MHz) bands for roaming.
The Aquos XX weighs 168g with a 3,000mAh battery that is rated for 400 hours of standby. The phone houses a 13.1-megapixel CMOS rear camera and also boasts a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM, and 128 GB of microSDXC cards is also supported.
Powered by an octa-core (2.0GHz × 4 + 1.5GHz × 4) / MSM8994 processor, the Sharp Aquos XX runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box. The connectivity options include dual-band WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.1.
Sharp Aquos XX has features like Hybrid 4G LTE, HD Voice (3G), Early warning mail, Osaifu-Keitai, Seg, NFC, GPS, Infrared communication (IrDA), Waterproof, VoLTE, Tethering, and Fullseg. It comes in Amber Black, White, and Red variants.
