Sharp has unveiled a new smartphone in Japan dubbed as Sharp Aquos Crystal 2. It will be released on or after mid-July as SOFTBANK MOBILE of summer model.
The Sharp Aquos Crystal 2 features a 5.2 inches HD (1280 × 720 pixels) display (S-PureLED) that runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and adopts the frameless design. It comes in turquoise, black, white, pink colours. It also features W-CDMA system (900 MHz / 2.1 GHz), FDD-LTE (900 MHz / 1.7 GHz / 2.1 GHz) and AXGP (2.5GHz).
The Aquos Crystal 2 measures 71 × 136 × 11 mm and is about 154 gms in weight. The smartphone houses an 8MP CMOS sensor at the rear and also a 2.1-megapixel CMOS front-facing camera for selfies. It comes with 2GB of RAM and the 16GB built in storage supports up to 128GB microSDXC card.
The Sharp Aquos Crystal 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core MSM8926 processor with the help of 2,030mAh battery. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b / g / n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth v4.0, HD Voice, 4G LTE, NFC, mobile wallet system and 1-seg mobile TV. It is also waterproof. Pricing is still not announced.
