Samsung – the South Korean mobile manufacturer, has launched its first flagship Tizen smartphone, Samsung Z. The latest Samsung’s Tizen phone will be available initially in Russia starting Q3, will be launched in other countries soon after.
According to Samsung’s official website, the Tizen will be offered with additional apps for Samsung Z users via its store. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed the pricing of the Samsung Z. However; the manufacturer will be showcasing the new Tizen smartphone at the Tizen Developer Conference today in San Francisco.
The Samsung Z sports a 4.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 720×1280 pixels resolution, and 16 M colors. The phone boasts a quad-core processor, clocked at 2.3GHz, alongside 2 GB of RAM.
The Tizen’s Samsung Z is built with a 16 GB ROM; the storage can be upgraded up to 64 GB via an external MicroSD card.
The Samsung Z houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash, alongside a 2.1 MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone runs on Tizen 2.2.1 OS out-of-the-box.
The java supported handset manufactured with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ b/ g/ n, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3.5mm Headphone-jack, and single micro -SIM (GSM 3G) connectivity options.
The Samsung Z Tizen has Proximity and Accelerometer sensors. Measuring the phone, its dimension is 138.20 x 69.80 x 8.50mm, weighs 136 gm. The cell phone is powered by a 2600mAh, powerful non-removable battery. The device is available in a black and gold variety of colors.
