Today, Samsung has released a new smartphone, Galaxy V (SM-G313HZ) is available for sale for RM299 (Roughly Rs 5700 or the US $94). This handset is already released in Vietnam also, but no word then it will reach India.
The company has confirmed the launch of Galaxy V from its Facebook Page. Samsung has already launched Galaxy S Duos 3 and Galaxy Star 2 [SM-G130EZAA] budget smartphones in India. Before a few days, Galaxy Mega 2 has also been launched in Malaysia.
Samsung Galaxy V features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touch-screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM. It is running on the latest Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. Notably, except for the processor and the front-facing camera, all the other features are similar to the Samsung Galaxy Ace NXT, which is available in India for a price of Rs 7335.
