Samsung Galaxy Tab A is listed on the company website of the U.S. in two different sizes. 8-inch slate is priced at $229.99, while a bigger 9.7-inch comes for $299.99.
Both variants of Samsung‘s Galaxy Tab A have identical specifications except the screen size, physical dimensions, and battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB (Wi-Fi), 16 GB internal memory, MicroSD Up to 128 GB, Android 5.0 (Lollipop) OS, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, dual speakers, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS + GLONASS.
It measures 166.8 x 242.5 x 7.5 mm (9.7″) and 137.9 x 208.4 x 7.5mm (8”) respectively. Currently, only the Wi-Fi variant is available for purchase; LTE-variant may be announced later this year. The smaller variant is backed by a 4500 mAh battery, while a 6000 mAh battery fuels the bigger one.
Both the slates will go on sale in the USA from May 1st in three different colors – White, Smoky Titanium, and Smoky Blue. Samsung is also gearing up for releasing a special edition of the Smoky Blue 9.7 inch tablet with an S-Pen on May 17th with a price of US $349.99.
