Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 at its Mobile World Congress 2015, Barcelona. Both are listed on the company website of the USA.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a 5.1-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and 577 pixels per inch pixel density. The smartphone is powered by a new 64-bit Exynos octa-core chipset based on the 14nm architecture.
The Galaxy S6 Edge is equipped with 3GB of RAM and available in three storage models: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. However, it can not be expanded using an external microSD card. The latest smartphone houses a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.9 lens and optical image stabilization. It has Auto real-time HDR and 0.7-sec activation for faster response. On the front, there’s a wide-angle 5-megapixel front-facing camera fixed with 120-degree wide-angle support.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is fueled by a 2,600mAh battery. It will be available in white pearl, black sapphire, gold platinum, and green emerald color options. Pricing has not been revealed yet but will roll out on April 10. It measures 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0mm and weighs about 132 grams.
