Samsung has unveiled a new smartphone Galaxy S5 Plus, that is upgraded version of the company’s flagship Galaxy S5.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus support for Cat 6 4G LTE and comes equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 805 chip with a 2.5GHz quad-core processor. It can download a file with maximum speed of 300Mbps while upload speed limit is 50Mbps. It is running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out of the box.
In terms of design, dimensions and IP67 rating, it remains same, as it measuring 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 millimeters, and weighs 145 grams. It has dust proof and water resistant.
Under the home button of Galaxy S5 Plus, there is a fingerprint scanner to secure the device from unauthorized person. You can use it to secure the machine and mobile payments carried out in conjunction with the PayPal app. On the back side of the device, there is a heart rate monitor sensor, which co-operates with the health app.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus sports a 5.1 inch screen with 1080 pixels resolution. It houses a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with 4K video support and also firms a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies. It has 2GB ROM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable with up to 128GB of microSD card.
The Galaxy S5 Plus is backed by a 2800 mAh battery with a power saving mode. In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone include; NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-SIM, USB 3.0, 3.5mm ear jack, WiFi and 4G LTE.
