Samsung has announced Galaxy Note Edge, along with Galaxy Note 4. The Note Edge is a curved variant of its flagship handset Galaxy Note 4. The right side of the display folds to cover the right edge, giving it a unique appearance and functionality. The company has not revealed the price and its global availability yet.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge sports a 5.6 inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display with 1600 x 2560 pixels of resolution and 539 PPI pixels density. It is powered by a 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 Quad-Core processor with 3GB of RAM and clubbed with Adreno 420 GPU.
The Galaxy Note Edge comes with 32 GB internal storage, expanding with an expansion slot. It houses a 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, and Ultra HD video recording. There is also a 3.7MP front-facing camera is available with an f/1.9 aperture, 120-degree wide-angle lens.
At 8.3 mm thick, the phablet houses boasts a 3000 mAh battery. In terms of connectivity options, it includes; 4G LTE-A Cat.6, 3G HSPA+ (up to 42 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (HT80) MIMO PCIe , Bluetooth v4.1 LE / ANT+, GPS / GLONASS / Beidou , USB2.0, MHL 3.0, S Health 3.5, Finger Scanner, UV and Heart Rate Monitoring.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge runs on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS with Touch Wiz UI on top.
