The South Korean electronics giant has listed Samsung Galaxy Alpha and calling it – the evolution of Galaxy Design. The company talks about its “metal frame, elegantly curved corners, and a tactile soft back cover”.
The Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Alpha will be globally released starting September in over 150 countries, but there is no official price is available for the device. However, according to fonearena, it would cost 24,990 Rubles (Rs. 42,200 approx. / US$270) and go on sale in Russia on September 12th.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be running on the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box. It sports a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Super AMOLED touchscreen display. Its dimensions is 132.4×65.5×6.7mm and weighs 115 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with 4G LTE Cat.6 support and LTE-A device can provide download speed up to 300Mbps. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos (1.8 GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor. The smartphone also comes in a quad-core variant with a clock speed of 2.5GHz.
Galaxy Alpha comes with 2GB of RAM and also 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is non-expandable. It houses a 12-megapixel rear camera and also includes 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and selfie. It packs an 1860mAh battery.
It includes Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE and NFC as main connectivity options. It also comes with fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be available in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver, and Scuba Blue colour variants.
