Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched in Russia for RUB 31,990, and now the company has announced its availability to Malaysia with a price RM 1,499.

The smaller Samsung Galaxy A5 is already available at MYR 1,200. Both devices have metal frames and 64-bit Snapdragon chipset, but the Galaxy A7 is bigger with its 5.5″ 1080p Super AMOLED screen, has eight cores instead of four and is actually thinner – 6.3mm vs. 6.7mm.

Galaxy A7 also has 4G LTE support as well as a larger 2,600mAh capacity battery which is non removable. It will be available in 3 colour options – Pearl White, Midnight Black, and Champagne Gold. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat, which is further upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
