Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 smartphones. It comes with full metal unibody and slim designs. Notably, both are the company’s slimmest smartphone to date. The Galaxy A5 is just 6.7mm thick and while the Galaxy A3 is 6.9mm thick. According to the company, these handsets are aimed at young and trend conscious consumers, says the company.
The Galaxy A5 is equipped with 2GB of RAM and also has 16GB of internal memory that is further expandable up to 64GB with microSD. It measures 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7mm dimensions with a weight of 123 grams. In terms of connectivity options, it include; 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS with GLONASS and NFC (LTE version only).
According to the company, it has Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Multiscreen. It also comes with an adjustable audio which intelligently adapts and enhances sound output based on the user’s surrounding environment. It is backed by a 2300 mAh battery. It has compass/ magnetometer, proximity, accelerometer and ambient light sensors.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 would be available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold color options and will be available in selected markets including China starting November 2014. However, till now company has not announced its pricing details.
