Samsung Galaxy A3, which was announced in Oct, has been launched in India for Rs. 20,500. Samsung’s Galaxy A5 is also official in India with a price of Rs 25,500.
The main highlights of the Samsung Galaxy A3 are 4G LTE, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 4.5-inch Super AMOLED HD (960 x 540 pixels) display, 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. It is built with metal, has 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 1900mAH Li-ion battery.
Samsung Galaxy A3 is based on Android 4.4 and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage. The internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 64GB). It is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM card. The phone measures 130.10 x 65.50 x 6.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 110.30 grams.
Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy A3 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.00, NFC, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer.
