I have written an unlocking solution for various mobile phones and modems. Today, I am writing about the Nokia Security code. Forgetting your security code of Nokia Mobile Phone can be frustrating for you. You need this code when you want to reset your phone settings. Without the master security code, you cannot master reset your phone. The master code is a 10 digit number that will always be accepted as if it were your actual security code.
You can use the master code to change your security code back to whatever you like. When your Nokia handset asks you for the security code, enter the master code.
The master code of the Nokia Phone is specific to your handset, and it can be generated using the handset 15 digit IMEI number (serial number). The IMEI number can usually be found on the sticker underneath the battery, or you can get it by typing *#06# into the phone keypad.
Enter your 15 digit serial / IMEI number into my online tool (link has been provided at the end of the article). Your master code will then be calculated instantly. Then you need to enter this code into your Nokia when prompted for the security code.
The calculated master code will only work for DCT3 and DCT4 Nokia phones. It will not work with the newer BB5 handsets. See below for a rough compatibility guide, or look at my Nokia generation list to check if your model is supported. The feedback I have received is that’s IT WILL NOT WORK FOR THE 6230i model (the 6230 is fine).

Note: The default security code for ALL Nokia handsets is 12345. This is also called the phone lock code.
