How to Rename Multiple files or Folders Names via Context Menu in Windows?

Almost we all place multiple folders and files in a single folder related to a particular topic because it is easy to access when you want to change the name of multiple folders or files in a particular folder. If you have multiple sub-folder inside a folder and want to rename them, select all those sub-folders, hit the F2 key, write down the desired name and press the Enter button. It will rename the folders like folder name (1), folder name (2), etc.

But what will you do if you have folders inside the sub-folders? You can follow the above F2 procedure to rename the files, but it will consume a lot of time.

ContextReplace is a simple freeware that will make your task easy. According to the software name, you can rename multiple files or folder names from the context menu using this free app. It can rename all files or folders at once that are available in a subfolder or folder.

There is no official information about its compatibility, but it works under Windows 10/8/7. To able to use ContextReplace, your PC must have .NET 2.0 installed on your PC.

Once downloaded and installed on your computer, when you will perform right-click on your PC, you will get a Replace option in your right-click context menu. After selecting Replace option, you will get the above screenshot to replace multiple files/folders at once.

Here, you can find various options like Case-sensitive, Full Words only, Regular Expression, Skip hidden files, Include subfolders, Replace in file names, Replace in contents and Skip system files.
