Along with the W3500 and Xenium W6610 android smartphone, Philips has announced the S308 phone with a tag price of Rs 8,290.
According to Philips’s official website, the S308 sports 4-inch Capacitive touchscreen diagonal TFT display with 480×800 pixel resolution and 16 M colors.
The handset comes with dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) and dual standby features. It runs on android jelly bean 4.2 out-of-the-box.
The S308 comes in Candy bar form, and black variant colors are available for purchase. Measuring the phone, its dimension is 126mm X 64.5mm, weighs 125 gm.
The S308 boast an Octa-Core Processor, along with MediaTek MT6572M chipset clocked at 1.7GHz speed with 512 MB RAM. The phone is built with 4 GB ROM; out of the inbuilt storage, 1160 MB is free for user usage. The storage can be upgraded up to 32 GB with an external memory card.
The S308 houses a 5 MP rear camera with flash, whereas no front camera is available for video calling or selfies.
The cell phone is powered by a 1400 mAh Li-ion removable battery to provide 9.5 hrs talk-time or 700 hrs(Dual Sim) standby-time. The phone also sports with GSP and A-GPS.
The java supported S308 has WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm ear-jack, and FM radio connectivity options. The phone also boasts Proximity and Accelerometer sensors.
