Panasonic has launched a mini version of its selfie-focused Eluga S smartphone in India, the Eluga S Mini. It is priced at Rs 8,990 and will be available in the country from this week. The Panasonic Eluga S – the original version of the handset was launched in November last year, priced at Rs 11,190.
The dual-SIM supported Panasonic Eluga S Mini runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with the company’s own FIT HOME UI on top. It also features a 4.7-inch display with an HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Panasonic Eluga S Mini houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, which supports full-HD recording (1080p) videos at 30 frames per second, alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with Blink Play technology for selfies. The 8GB, inbuilt storage of the device can also be expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Eluga S Mini is equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi (with WiFi Direct), Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, dual-SIM, and Micro-USB connectivity options. It supports light, proximity, and accelerometer sensors as well as 21 Indian languages. The handset 137.5×68.4×9.45mm and its weight are 135 grams. A 1980mAh Li-Po battery backs it, will be available in Frost White and Shadow Grey color variants.
