Firefox OS based smartphone was announced this year in March. It was made available in South Africa, now the Mozilla launched its open source mobile OS in other parts of Africa too.

Orange is also planning to launch Firefox OS smartphones in more countries in the coming weeks.
Alcatel OneTouch Orange Klif comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen display, 320 x 480 pixels resolution, 1GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, 256 MB RAM, 512MB storage, 2MP rear camera, Dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM), 3.5mm audio jack, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM Radio. It also packs a 1300mAh battery.
