Oppo has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed as U3 in China. The company has not revealed the price and its global availability details yet.
The Oppo U3 features 4G LTE connectivity, comes in black and white variant colors. It sports a 5.9-inch HD IPS display with 1080×1920 pixels of resolution and is powered by a 64-Bit 1.7GHz octa-core processor, coupled with MediaTek MT6752 chipset and ARM Mali T760 MP2 GPU.
The U3 runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with ColorOS 2.0.1 UI on the top. It supports dual SIM (4G LTE+GSM) with dual standby functionally, has 2GB of RAM. It also comes with 16 GB of internal storage that is further expandable with up to 128 GB of MicroSD cards.
The U3 houses a 13 MP Sony IMX124 sensor with LED flash at the back and also boasts a 5-megapixel camera at the front for selfie and video calling. It is backed by a 3000mAh Li-pol battery that gets charged up to 75% within 30 minutes. The battery is rated for up to 10 hrs of talk-time and up to 400 hrs of standby.
The connectivity options include U3 are FM Radio, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5Ghz), Bluetooth v4.0, micro-USB v2.0, NFC, OTA, mobile hotspot, GPS, and A-GPS. It measures 156.8 x 81 x 8 mm and weight is 195 gms. It supports accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, and compass sensors.
