Oppo R7 and R7 Plus with 1080p AMOLED Display and 3GB RAM Announced

Oppo has announced its two new smartphones in China, the Oppo R7 and the Oppo R7 Plus. Both phones come in Gold and Silver colors variant. The Oppo R7 is priced at 2499 CYN (about US $403 / Rs. 25,680), and the Oppo R7 Plus is priced at 2999 CYN (about US $483 / Rs. 30,810.) These smartphones will be available in China from jd.com starting tomorrow. It will be rolled out globally starting in June.

The Oppo R7 features a 5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display and runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. On the other hand, the Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display and runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS. An Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor powers both with Adreno 405 GPU for the international variant. These have a metal body and 2.5D Arc Edge screen also.

The China Unicom variant of the Oppo R7 is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, and the Oppo R7 Plus China Unicom variant has a MediaTek MT6795 Octa-Core SoC. Both houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The R7 Plus comes with a dual-LED flash and a fingerprint sensor below the flash that lets you unlock the phone with just a touch. These also have 4G LTE connectivity (Bands 1/3/5/7/8/TD-40) and dual SIM support that lets you use the second nano-SIM slot as a microSD slot when required.
