Oppo has launched the Neo 5 smartphone in Malaysia. It is expected to hit Malaysia starting next week for $190 (RM598).
The new Oppo Neo 5 comes with 4G of internal storage, further expandable with up to 32GB of external memory card. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon TM400 Quad-Core 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. Under the hood, a 1900mAH battery is also available.
Oppo Neo 5 is a touchscreen smartphone and runs on ColourOS 1.4 UI, a modified version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The handset sports a 4.5-inch display (854*480) with 218ppi and 16M colors.
Housing a 5MP rear camera with a BSI CMOS sensor, the Oppo Neo 5 has a 2MegaPixel front-facing camera available for video calling and selfie. F2.4, poster, scanner, barcode scanner, audio, photo, HDR, and Panama are additional snapper features.
This is an LTE handset and supports GSM/WCDMA/FDD-LTE network and 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz and 3G WCDMA 2100MHz operating frequency bands. GPS, A-GPS, GPRS / EDGE / HSPA, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi Display, and WIFI Direct are the main connectivity options in Oppo Neo 5.
Oppo Neo 5 is featured with Smart Remote, screen-off gestures, and beautify 4.0 sensors. It measures 132 x 65.8 x 9.2 mm and weighs 132.5 gms. It will be available in a Black variant color.
In my opinion, it is a nice handset, and one should purchase it.
