The Oppo Neo 5 comes with a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS TFT display and also has a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor alongside Mali-400 MP2 GPU. It is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable internal memory (up to 32 GB microSD card).
Latest Neo 5 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the ColorOS 2.0.1 custom skin on top. However, there is no word on Lollipop 5. The back of the smartphone is made up of glass. Other specs include an 8 megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX179 1/3.2 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens and LED flash. On the front, there is also a 2 megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
The Neo 5 smartphone is supported by Dual SIM (Micro + Nano). Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS. It has also a 2,000 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery. It will be available in Crystal White and Sapphire Blue colour variants.
