After successful sales of the XonPad 7 Tablet in India, Oplus – the Taiwanese firm is planning to launch its new smartphone, Oplus XonPhone 5, with the same price segments, approximately Rs 9,999.
According to the official website of Oplus, XonPhone 5 smartphone will be exclusively available via snapdeal; however, the online firm has not listed this phone till now. The handset runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box.
The Oplus XonPhone 5 sports an IPS OGS 5″ HD Capacitive touchscreen display (1280 x 720 pixels) with 16.77 M color and 180°Full view feature 320ppi.
It boasts a MediaTek MTK 6582 Quad-core Cortex A7 processor, which is clocked at 1.3GHz of frequency, and coupled with 1GB of RAM, alongside Mali-400 MP GPU.
The XonPhone 5 measures 143 x 71.5 x 7.8mm, while weight is not mentioned. It houses an 8 MP Back Camera with autofocus and a 2 MP Front Camera with fixed focus. The primary camera features LED Flash and Geo-Tagging capabilities.
It has 16 GB Internal Storage (out of 16GB ROM, 12 GB is free for user usage), which can be further upgraded with a 32GB of external microSD card. It packs a 2000mAh battery, with no word about talk time and standby time.
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, Chromecast, USB 2.0 and Dual SIM are main connectivity options.
The firm already has 30 service centers in India, and it is increasing up to 350. The Oplus is planning to provide door to door pick and drop services for its consumers’ convenience.
