How to open and use Windows 10 Action Center?

The latest operating system from Microsoft, Windows 10, comes with various new features and improvements. There is one noticeable feature in Windows 10 is its Action Center. In this post, we will see where Action Center is and how to use Action Center in Windows 10?.

After the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft has major changes in the new Notification & Action Center and now looks fantastic. It is divided into two major parts – Notifications and Quick Action, which lets you look at all the notifications from all different apps, and even the system.

If you are running the latest version of Windows 10 (v1607), you will find the Action Center in the extreme right corner of the taskbar. Click the icon to open the Action Center panel.

Here on the top section, you can see the notifications, whereas the bottom department is Action Center. Most of the Icons here are shortcuts settings apps items. By choosing any of them, you can open the relevant Settings section.

Action Center is beneficial, as it stores important notifications for viewing at a later time. It lets you set the priority of Notifications or also can be fully disabled.

To disable the Notification from the selected apps, click the Action Center icon located on the Windows taskbar’s right-hand side.

Click the All Settings button to open the Settings app.

Navigate to System > Notifications & Actions.

The toggle switches to ‘On’ or ‘Off’ for different app settings to adjust the notifications from the Notifications.

In addition to the notifications, Windows 10 ‘Quick Action‘ of ‘Action Center’ can also be adjusted from here.

To choose between the Quick Action apps, hit the Action Center icon and select ‘All Settings.’

Navigate to System > Notifications & actions. Finally, click the ‘Add or Remove Quick Actions’ link.

Here, you can select the apps in which quick action should appear under Action Center.

To dismiss individual notifications from the Action Center, hover the mouse cursor over the message you’d like to overlook. Then, click the “X” button to dismiss the notification.
