Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley has launched its first Android Smartphone in India. The Obi Octopus S520 has been priced at Rs 11990.
Snapdeal says, The Obi Octopus S520 is a dual-SIM smartphone (Norma and Micro-SIM), which runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out-of-the-box. It sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) IPS Capacitive touchscreen display, which offers a pixel density of 294ppi.
The handset is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek (MT6592) processor clocked at 1.7 GHz of speed, and coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Octopus S520 comes with an 8 GB of inbuilt storage (Approx 5 GB is free for user) which is further expandable up to 32GB via an external microSD card.
It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and also houses a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed by an 1800mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 240 minutes of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time.
Connectivity options includes in Obi Octopus S520; GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/ g/ n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, FM, Micro-USB, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, 2G, GSM 900/1800, WCDMA and 3G. The smartphone comes with dimensions 145x75x8.4mm. It will be available in white colour; and also has Proximity, as well as Accelerometer sensor.
The company confirms that now total 95 service centers are available across the India for the after sales service of its Obi handsets.
