MyPhone has just taken the wrap off it’s the newest offering, the MyPhone Rio Pixie. The specs aren’t really enough in the price tag Php 7,599 (about 10,700 INR), but we opted to focus on its camera and “selfie” capabilities. The Rio Pixie houses an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash and comes pre-installed with a free selfie app called Fotoku. The MyPhone is also offering a free Selfie Stick with each purchase.
What’s a Fotoku?
Fotoku is a “selfie” app that uses the front-facing camera and lets you edit the photos and then share them to different social networking sites. If you are an Android or iOS user, you can also download it free from an online store. However, in MyPhone Rio Pixie, you will get it pre-installed.
In terms of specs, the MyPhone Rio Pixie boasts a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor and is equipped with 1GB of RAM. It sports a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. The 8GB internal storage can be expanded with up to 32 GB of memory card.
The Rio Pixie smartphone houses an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with flash and packs an 8MP front shooter with LED flash for selfies/video calling. Connectivity options include phone 3G, FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile hotspot, GPS/A-GPS micro-USB, and 3.5mm audio jack. We are expecting that this will have a dual-SIM slot, yet to be official.
The handset runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by an unknown battery.
