MTech has listed a new low-end smartphone on the company website of India, the Opal S2. The firm has not revealed the price tag and its availability details yet.
The MTech Opal S2 supports Dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionality and features a 3G network. The handset measures 116.3 * 62 * 10.3mm but no word about its weight. It also comes with 3.5-inch HVGA (320 X 480 pixels) Capacitive Touch display and features multitouch.
The Opal S2 has 3.5 mm Audio Jack, GPRS, WLAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, USB, GPS, AGPS, and FM Radio as connectivity options. It comes with 256MB of RAM and has 512MB of built-in storage, and expandable storage via expansion slot (up to 32GB).
The M-tech Opal S2 houses a 2-megapixel rear camera and also a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. The phone is running on Android v4.4 (KitKat) OS and powered by a 1 GHz Dual Core processor. It has a Gravity sensor and packs a battery of 1300mAH capacity, rated for 4 hrs of talk-time and 200hrs of standby time. The product is available in White, Black, and Red with Black variant colors.
