Motorola Moto X receiving Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update in the UK

Motorola has announced a new software update for the UK version of Moto X (XT1052). After updating, your device will be running on the latest version of the Android OS (Android 4.4.4, KitKat), as well as new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for your Moto X.

What you will get after updating the Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update in your Motorola Moto X :

Android 4.4.4 KitKat – This update will update your phone OS to Android 4.4.4 KitKat, the latest release of the Android platform. This release includes accuracy improvements to the power profile, various stability, framework, and security fixes, including an update to OpenSSL.

Camera (Improved image quality) – Improved camera image quality, including better consistency of exposure, most realistic flash coloring, improved photos in low light conditions using the front camera.

Camera (Pause video recording) – Added the ability to pause video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.

Updated Phone dialer – Updated Phone dialer with a new graphical layout and colors to improve consistency and usability.

Enables Motorola Alert Application download – New Motorola Alert application sends periodic alerts to your selected contacts with your location. Now available for download from the Google Play Store.

How to update Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update in Moto X?

If you are receiving a notification message for this update:

  1. Select “Download.”
  2. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now.”
  3. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  4. Your phone is now updated with 212.44.26

How to manually update the Moto X Smartphone?

  1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
  2. Select “About phone.”
  3. Select “System updates.”
  4. Select “Download.” After the software is downloaded, select “Install.”
  5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  6. Your phone is now updated to 212.44.26
