Motorola has launched the successor of Moto X, the Moto X (Gen 2). The smartphone will be available in India by the end of this month, and the price will be revealed same time. According to the Motorola, unlocked Moto X (Gen 2) can be purchased in USA at $499.99, with a two year contract from select carrier is also available in $99.99.
The new Moto X (Gen 2) will be available in the market in two storage variants – 16GB and 32GB, but without expansion slot. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixel) OLED touch display with a pixel density of 423 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974-AC) processor and 2GB of RAM. It houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.25 lens with 4K video recording and dual-LED ring flash. The company has also fixed a 2-megapixel front-facing camera capable of 1080p video recording.
Both, the Moto G (Gen 2) and the Moto X (Gen 2) features dual-front speakers, above and below the display. In terms of connectivity options it includes; 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 80211.ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Micro-USB and 3.5mm audio jack.
Measures 140.8×72.4×9.97mm, the phone weighs 144 grams, and backed by a 2300mAh battery.
