The successor of the Moto G (2014) has allegedly been spotted in a hands-on video. The video also shows some purported specifications of the Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) via benchmark results.
Motorola gives a Codenamed to the handset Osprey, the third-generation Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) is the star of a new video that was put up on YouTube.
Flipkart, the exclusive online retail partner of Motorola handsets in India, has listed the Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) on their page earlier. However, Flipkart soon corrected the error and the page has now disappeared.
The video on youtube reveal that the upcoming device features a slightly revamped design on the back compared to the outgoing model.
Specs-wise, the Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) is tipped to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in memory, and microSD card slot. The display is a 5” 720p unit. Moto G (2015) boots Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The third-generation Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) might sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera, which is definite upgrade from 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera seen on the current generation.
While the company has made no official announcement on the release date of Motorola Moto G (Gen 3), it is being speculated that it will be rolled out sometime in June or July.
