Motorola‘s latest flagship Droid Turbo has been announced officially for Verizon Wireless of USA.
The Motorola Droid Turbo features a 5.2-inches (1440×2560 pixels/ 565 PPI) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor (APQ8084) with 64-bit memory access Adreno 420 @ 600 MHz GPU. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box. It houses a 21-megapixels rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash and 4K video recording, while there is also a 2-megapixels front-facing camera onboard for selfies.
The Droid Turbo is equipped with 3GB (LPDDR3 with 64-bit access) of RAM and 32 GB / 64 GB internal storage, but no word about expandable. It packs a 3900mAh battery, which is according to the company, ends in 48 mixed uses. It supports Motorola Turbo Charger that can charge up to 8 hours of mixed usage, battery with 15 minutes of charging.
The Motorola Droid Turbo is water-resistant, supports CDMA, EVDO Rev A, 4G LTE, and GSM/UMTS/HSPA+ networks. It has sensors like Accelerometer, Ambient Light, E-compass, Gyroscope, Hall Effect, Infrared, and Proximity. In terms of connectivity options, the handset includes; 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11a/g/b/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS and NFC.
The Motorola Droid Turbo will be available at Verizon Wireless in the US from October 30th for $199 (32 GB storage variant) in Metallic Black, Metallic Red, and Ballistic Nylon colors. The 64 GB storage variant model is available in only Black Ballistic Nylon for $249 and $24.99/month contract for 24 months. However, it can be purchased for the US $599.99 without a contract.
