The Microsoft Office Mobile app supports Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents (with charts, animations, SmartArt graphics, and shapes). According to Microsoft, editing documents on your mobile will not change the formatting, and the content will remain intact.

The firm also says that free App usage is available only for non-commercial works; if you are using the App for commercial purposes, you will be required a qualifying Office 365 subscription.
