Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM Launched in India with a Price Rs 10,199

Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM was announced with a US $149 (Roughly Rs. 9,299). Now, the smartphone has been launched in India with a price of Rs 10,199. The smartphone will be available in Cyan, Orange, White, and Matte Black colors from Monday, while pre-booking begins on Thursday.

The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM runs Windows Phone 8.1 operating system with the Lumia Denim update. Microsoft also mentions that the smartphone will be upgradable to Windows 10 when available later this year.

The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM has been announced with launch offers, including Rs. 1,000 cashback on recharges, and Rs. 200 off every month for 5 months from Paytm; cashback of Rs 200 per recharge for the first four recharges of Rs. 500 or higher on Ola Money; 2 months free subscription to Gaana along with unlimited music downloads, as well as a ‘Double Data for 2 Months’ offer from Airtel.

The Lumia 540 Dual SIM comes with a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD,  offering 294ppi pixels density. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, and supports up to 128GB of microSD card.

Microsoft is also offering 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage with the Lumia 540 Dual SIM purchase. It houses an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera. Connectivity specs include USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi with hotspot, GPS, and 3G. Peer-to-Peer sharing and support for up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices with hotspot are also included.

Packed with a 2200mAh replaceable battery, the Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM measures 144 x 73.69 x 9.37 mm and weighs 152 grams.

It also offers Microsoft services, including Microsoft’s Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote), Outlook, Skype, OneDrive.
