Micromax has announced its new smartphone, the Canvas Hue AQ5000. It will go for sale in India online with a price of Rs 10,999 starting 16 Jan.
The Micromax Canvas Hue (AQ5000) features a 5-inch AMOLED HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels of resolution, 293 PPI, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6582 chipset, alongside a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor and 1GB of RAM.
The Canvas Hue is running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS, and according to the firm, it is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It supports dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby, has 8GB internal storage, which is further expandable with up to 32GB microSD card.
Canvas Hue houses an 8-megapixel rear camera and also boasts a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies. The primary camera features auto-focus and LED flash. It is backed by a 3000mAH Li-poly battery rated for up to 9.5 hours of talk-time and up to 280 hours standby.
Connectivity options include FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, micro-USB V2.0, mobile hotspot, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack.
