The USB Raptor sits in the system tray and checks USB ports for the presence of a USB flash drive. Each time, before unlocking the PC, it scans for the flash drive to open, which contains encrypted data. If the file is present and the data is correct, the computer stays unlocked. If the file is missing or corrupted, the computer automatically locks. This means, if the USB disk created by the USB Raptor is present, your PC will be unlocked; otherwise, it will lock your computer.

Once you enable the app, you will get a notification message in the taskbar that the USB needs to be connected, and once removed, the desktop will be locked.

Alternatively, the user can enable (or disable) two additional ways to unlock the system, such as a network messaging or password.

There are many options available in the program, which can be accessed by selecting the Advanced configuration. You can also use Windows default lock instead of the app’s lock.
