A list of Reliance Jio VoLTE Supported SmartPhones

1148

Reliance Jio 4g is live in India, and the firm has announced the list of VoLTE supported phones that can be upgraded with the Jio network. If you want to test the HD Voice, Jio 4g users need to have a VoLTE supported smartphone.

Jio is working hard to kick-start the 4g service’s commercial launch and test different types of service-related issues.

Jio has meager data plans in the 4G network and provides three months of free data in preview offer. Its commercial launch is scheduled for 31 Dec 2016.

Jio

The firm is going to serve a high-quality voice over a 4G network across India. Jio has already launched various LYF mobiles under Water, Earth, which supports both VoLTE & VoWiFi. It is currently ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 25,000.

Jio will provide its 4G services through three different bands: Band 5 (850MHz), Band 3 (1800MHz), and band 40 (2300MHz). Band 40 will remain active in PAN India, but the rest of the two bands will be available in few circles, and later Jio will expand as usual. To use the Jio network, make sure your 4G device supports at least two bands – 2300MHz and 1800Mhz or 850Mhz.

What is VoLTE?

VoLTE – Voice over LTE, which means authentic HD Voice calling over 4G LTE Network. Voice will become accurate & more transparent. Your 4G mobile must support VoLTE features to make HD Voice calls.

What is VoWiFi?

VoWiFi – Voice over WiFi. With the Jio, you can continue with HD Voice calls over WiFi if the 4G Cellular network is weak. Switching between VoLTE & VoWiFi will be in the background without disruption running HD Voice calls.

How to check VoLTE support in your 4G Smartphone?

Insert the Jio SIM card in your 4G phone and wait till the network come. If your phone supports VoLTE, you will get a VoLTE sign just above the mobile tower icon on the screen’s upper left/right corner. You may also get an LTE HD sign for accurate HD calls.
