Lenovo’s affordable ZUK brand outs its first promo video today

ZUK is a Lenovo subsidiary that wants to ‘disrupt’ the smartphone scene with the upcoming ZUK Z1. The company put up a video earlier today; it’s a short video that doesn’t give away many facts, but there’s still a lot to learn from the video.

In recent time Lenovo expanding its vicinity in the mobile phone industry. Recently, it has reportedly committed $409 million in the venture alone, meaning that Zuk means serious business. Lenovo fronted the startup with quite a lot of cash, wanting to move the focus from hardware to software with the new brand.  Zuk is backed by the tech giant Lenovo and the Chinese software company 360.

Here’s the first promo video meant to increase the brand awareness below; tell us what you think about it. Wouldn’t it be better if they just said, “we are going to release a phone with 5.5″ 1080p display, 3 GB of RAM, and 4000 mAh battery for less than $300?”
