Lenovo has launched a new smartphone, the Vibe Z2 64-Bit phablet in IFA 2014, priced at $429. It will be available in China starting October and will be released in Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East in countries where Lenovo smartphones are currently sold.
Lenovo Vibe Z2 features a brushed metal unibody design and is further powered by a 64-Bit quad-core Snapdragon processor, which is clocked at 1.2GHz CPU, clubbed with 2GB of RAM. The company notes that the new 64-bit architecture “will be able to take advantage of Google’s future versions of Android that supports high-performance 64-bit computing,” implying Android L, of course.
At 7.8 mm thin, the Vibe Z2 features a 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD display that is further powered by an extra-bright 600nit rating. It runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Vibe UI and supports dual-SIM functionality.
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 houses a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with a BSI sensor, OIS, and LED flash. It also firms an 8-megapixel front-facing fixed-focus camera for selfies. It will be available in White, Titanium, and Gold colors.
Measures 148.5×76.4×7.8mm, the Vibe Z2 weighs 158 grams. Under the hood, a 3000mAh battery is also available. The smartphone includes; 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB in terms of connectivity.
