The Chinese manufacturer has tied up with Amazon India and launched a new tablet, the Lenovo S5000, with a price of Rs 10,999.
The Lenovo S5000 sports a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It weighs 246 grams, while a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek 8389 processor powers it with 1GB of RAM.
This S5000 houses a 5-megapixel rear camera and also a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The tablet runs on the out-dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean; however, the company says that it will be upgraded to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean via OTA.
The Lenovo S5000 is backed by a 3450mAh battery, rated to last for over 8 hours of Wi-Fi Web browsing. It also comes with 16GB of built-in storage, but no word of expandable. In terms of connectivity options, it includes Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and USB OTG.
