Lava has launched two new smartphones, dubbed Iris X1 Grand and Iris X1 Mini. It is priced at Rs 7,326 and Rs 4,348, respectively.
The Lava Iris X1 Grand comes in White-Silver, White-Gold, and Black variant colors. The 3G smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS touch screen with 480×854 pixels FWVGA of resolution and is powered by a 1.3 GHz MTK6582M Quad-Core processor with 1GB of RAM.
The Iris X1 Grand runs Android 4.4 KitKat, which is upgradable to Android Lollipop v5.0, which is the phone’s main highlight. It supports dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionality, has 8GB internal storage that is further expandable with up to 32 GB of memory cards.
Lava Iris X1 Grand houses an 8-megapixel BSI II Sensor at the rear with dual LED Flash and boasts a 2-megapixel front shooter for video calling selfie. The primary camera features HDR, face detection, panorama, geotagging, intelligent flip cover mode, and face beauty mode.
Iris X1 Grand is fueled by a 2200mAh Li-pol battery that is rated for 12 hrs (2G) / 10 hrs (3G) of talk-time and 240 hours (2G) / 200 hrs (3G) of standby. The connectivity options include FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, micro-USB v2.0, mobile hotspot, GPS, and AGPS.
The handset measures 144 X 72 X 9.15 mm. It supports accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
