Lava has launched two new smartphone, dubbed as Iris X1 Grand and Iris X1 Mini. It is priced at Rs. 7,326 and Rs. 4,348 respectively.

The Lava Iris X1 Grand comes in White-Silver, White-Gold, and Black variant colours. The 3G smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS touch screen with 480×854 pixels FWVGA of resolution and is powered by a 1.3 GHz MTK6582M Quad Core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The Iris X1 Grand runs Android 4.4 KitKat which is upgradable to Android Lollipop v5.0, that is main highlight of the phone. It supports dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionaly, has 8GB internal storage that is further expandable with up to 32GB of memory card.

Lava Iris X1 Grand houses an 8-megapixel BSI II Sensor at rear with Dual LED Flash and also boasts a 2-megapixel front shooter for video calling and selfie. The primary camera features HDR, face detection, panorama, geo tagging, intelligent flip cover mode and face beauty mode.

Iris X1 Grand is fueled by a 2200mAH Li-pol battery, that is rated for 12 hrs (2G) / 10 hrs (3G) of talk-time and 240 hours (2G) / 200 hrs (3G) of standby. Connectivity options include FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, micro-USB v2.0, mobile hotspot, GPS and AGPS.

The handset measures 144 X 72 X 9.15 mm. It supports accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensors.
