Lava Iris 500 has been announced in India today with a price Rs 5099 and will be available in local market soon.
The Iris 500 supports Dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionality. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box and powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, out of which 2.25GB if free for users usage and expandable with upto 32GB of microSD card.
The new Lava Iris 500 features a 5-inches IPS FWVGA (854×480 Pixels resolution) Capacitive Multi-touch display with 16.7 M and 217PPI. It houses a 5-megapixels rear-facing camera with LED flash and also a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It supports 11 regional languages Support and has built-in Spiderman game.
In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone include; GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, WiFi Hotspot, GPS, A-GPS support, Bluetooth v4.0 LE, Micro USB without OTG support, 3.5mm audio jack. It supports G Sensor, Proximity and Motion sensor. It measures 146.5×72.2×8.7 mm and packs an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Note : The handset is not listed in the company website yet. Sources says that it supports only 2G SIM, if it is right then it is too costly handset, if any changes then I will update this post.
Update : The Lava Iris 500 is listed in the company website with a tag price Rs 5499. It comes with dual SIM slot, one is 3G supported and another one is 2G supported.
