Lava Iris 500 has been announced in India today with Rs 5099 and will be available in the local market soon.
The Iris 500 supports Dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionality. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 512 MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, out of which 2.25 GB is free for user usage and expandable with up to 32 GB of MicroSD cards.
The new Lava Iris 500 features a 5-inches IPS FWVGA (854×480 Pixels resolution) Capacitive Multi-touch display with 16.7 M and 217PPI. It houses a 5-megapixels rear-facing camera with LED flash and also a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It supports 11 regional languages Support and has a built-in Spiderman game.
The smartphone includes; GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, WiFi Hotspot, GPS, A-GPS support, Bluetooth v4.0 LE, and Micro USB without OTG support in terms of connectivity options, 3.5mm audio jack. It supports G Sensor, Proximity, and Motion sensor. It measures 146.5×72.2×8.7 mm and packs an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Note: The handset is not listed on the company website yet. Sources say that it supports only 2G SIM; if it is right, it is too costly handset; if any changes, I will update it.
Update: The Lava Iris 500 is listed in the company website with a tag price Rs 5499. It comes with a dual SIM slot, one is 3G supported, and another one is 2G supported.
