Lava has unveiled a new smartphone, dubbed Lava Iris 404s. It is priced at Rs 5,349 and goes on sale in India through Flipkart.
The Lava Iris 404s is powered by a 1 GHz MTK 6572M Dual-Core processor and coupled with 512 MB of RAM. It features a 4-inch WVGA IPS touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution. The built-in 4 GB storage is further expandable via up to 32 GB of MicroSD cards.
The Iris 404s smartphone houses a 5-megapixel rear camera and boasts a 0.3 Mega Pixels front-facing snapper for selfies/video calling. The phone includes 3G, FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, GPS/A-GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack in terms of connectivity options. It also has Dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM with dual standby functionality.

Considering the price of approx Rs 5000, the Lava Iris 404s is too expensive for a local brand. Infocus M2 is the best alternative that comes with 4.2-inch HD JDI OGS LTPS WXGA (1280 × 768 pixels) display, 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, and 1GB RAM / 8GB ROM. Other specs are also better than this phone and the most important thing, and it is available for just Rs 4999.
