Earlier launched Lava Iris 402 smartphone is now available in India with a lowest price Rs 5,299 only.

The new Lava Iris 402 is Dual SIM (GSM + GSM / Dual Standby / Mini SIM) handset, and flipkart is offering in Rs 5,299 online in grey colour. It is a 3G smartphone and runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS out of the box. It is powered by 1.2 GHz, Dual Core processor with 256 MB of RAM.

Lava Iris 402 packs a 512MB internal storage, that is further upgraded via memory card (up to 32GB). It sports a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display with 16 M color depth.

Iris 402 houses 3MP rear camera and also 0.3 MP front-facing camera is onboard for video calling. Primary camera features Panorama, Geo-tagging, Smile Detection, Flash, Fixed Focus etc.

Measuring 64.5×125.5×11.4 mm, weighing 124 gm, Lava Iris 402 backed by 1500 mAh Li-ion battery, which is rated to deliver 7 hrs (2G) or 5 hrs (3G) hrs talk-time. It comes with Android and Opera Mini preinstalled browsers.

GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 21 Mbps HSDPA, 168 Mbps HSPA+, Wifi, USB, A-GPS, Bluetooth with A2DP, FM radio and Audio Jack 3.5 mm are main connectivity options. It comes with G-Sensor and Proximity Sensor.

In my opinion, in Rs 5,299, the Lava Iris 402 is too costly. Lava Iris 402e is another Dual SIM smartphone from the company, which sports 4-inch  and available in Rs 4,199, but does not features 2G.
