An upgraded version of Intex Aqua Y2 goes on sale in India through e-commerce online website shopping Indiatimes, with Rs 4,199, dubbed as Intex Aqua Y2 IPS. Notably, when writing the post, the handset was not listed on the company website.
The Intex Aqua Y2 IPS feature 4-inch IPS (480 x 800 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS out of the box. It also comes in black, grey, and white variant colors. The smartphone houses an 8-megapixel AF rear camera with flash and boasts a 2MP front-facing snapper for selfies.
The Aqua Y2 IPS are equipped with 512MB of RAM, and the 4GB internal storage is further expandable with an external microSD card (up to 64GB). It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and supports dual-SIM (WCMDA+GSM) with dual standby functionality.
Connectivity options include Aqua Y2 IPS FM radio, 3G, WiFi, Wi-Fi tethering, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, micro-USB, and 3.5mm ear-jack. It is backed by a Li-ion 1400 mAh battery rated for 11 hrs of talk-time and 235 hrs of standby time.
The handset measures 124 x 64.5 x 9.0 mm and weighs 101 gms. It supports Gravity, Accelerometer, Proximity, and Light sensors.
