Intex has launched a new smartphone, dubbed Aqua R2. It is listed on the company website of India with a price tag of Rs 2,250. It is available online through the e-commerce online website eBay with a price of Rs 2,790, which is more than the tag price.
The Intex Aqua R2 comes in grey-black, silver-black, and white variant colors feature 2G connectivity only. It sports a 2.8-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) touchscreen display and is powered by an RDA 8810P chipset alongside a 1GHz single-core processor.
The Aqua R2 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) with dual standby functionality. It is equipped with 256MB of RAM and has 512MB of internal storage, further expandable with up to 32GB microSD cards.
The Intex Aqua R2 houses a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash and also boasts a VGA front-facing camera for video chatting using Skype. It is backed by an 1100 mAh Li-ion battery, and according to the company, rated for up to 5 hrs of talk-time or up to 130 hrs of standby.
Connectivity options include Aqua R2 FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, micro-USB v2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 105.4 x 58.6 x 11.6 but no word about its weight. It features G-sensor.
