1. Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan

One of the cured venue in India. It is located on the Alwar-Jaipur highway. The Bhangarh Fort is a 17th-century fort built in Rajasthan, India. There are many myths about the place. It has four gates – Ajmeri, Lahori, Phulbari & Delhi Gate. Local people say whoever has tried to stay inside after sunset was never found again.

Singhiya, the wizard who knows the art of black magic, fell in love with Ratnavati, the lovely princess of Bhangarh. She was not like Singhiya. When she was 18 years old, and went shopping with her friends and was buying some scent. The wizard saw this and replaced the scent with some magical scent to ensnare the princess. He offered the potion to her so that she took a liking for him and married him. However, the princess saw through the wizard’s trickery, and when he offered her the bowl of potion, she threw it on a big boulder nearby, and as a result, the boulder started rolling down towards the wizard and crushed him. Before he died, he cursed that Bhangarh would be destroyed soon and no one will be able to live within its precincts.

After the curse, Bhangarh Fort was invaded by the Mughals from the north, and the city was surrounded and sacked; 10,000 people lived in the fort city at that time. All the people in the fort, including the princess, were killed. The fort’s present state is attributed to the curse of the wizard, and people believe the ghosts in the fort are that of the princess and the wizard. Since that day, it is believed that paranormal activities take place here during the nights. Some deaths have been reported due to these paranormal activities too. There are sayings that some of the people’s spirit surrounds the boundary of the fort as no one can enter the premises.

2. DOW HILL KURSIANG WEST BENGAL

Kurseong is a small town located about 32 kilometers from the famous hill station of Darjeeling. Kurseong may appear as a pleasant hill station, but in reality, it is totally different from the local villager’s point of view. Several murders have taken place in the Dow Hill forest that has left an eerie feeling in the atmosphere. Villagers are telling a spooky horror story of the place which they realize there. According to them, a headless zombie followed them when they passed alone on the roads at Dow Hill. People talk that anyone who ever saw this ghost would always feel that someone is following them, or there is a pair of eyes looking at them at all times.

3. Agrasen ki Baoli

Agrasen ki Baoli also known as Agar Sain ki Baoli or Ugrasen ki Baoli, was built by the legendary king Agrasen during the Mahabharata epic, but no strong evidence is found out there. In the Hindi language, Baoli means a well. Its scary story starts from the well which is built in the middle of this monument. This stepwell is a 60-meter long and 15-meter wide located on Hailey Road near Connaught Place, in New Delhi, India. The Well can store 2 levels of water, but for the last few years, because of limited rainfall and groundwater going down, this well empty for many days. It is unknown whether it is truth or Rumor, but people said that the place was filled with black water, which enticed the visitors to go deep or jump and commit suicide. Some people even affirm that the Baoli is a domicile of devils.
One more fact, the center of the Well holds water and is conjoined by a covered platform. As you climb down the stairs, the well gets colder and darker. This Baoli is very deep, and it is a house of thousands of pigeons and bat, and their voices coming inside the Baoli definitely threaten you.

4. Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune

In much horror entertaining program, you heard about the story of the full moon. We also find out a place where it is believed that Full Moon nights are very much haunted, i.e., Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune. According to an old story, this fort is haunted by the ghost of a prince who was brutally assassinated when he was 13 years old by his uncle in the hope of getting kingdom. His ghost can be heard shrieking in the middle of the night. The area’s localities have heard an unknown voice crying for help, mostly during the full-moon nights. People say that the young prince of the Fort died in the old fort, and he is the one who cries for help, hence the name Shaniwarwada Fort.

5. The Church of Three Kings, Goa

I don’t know what I say about this place. It’s a church home of worship, but locals say that it an eerie place. The story behind this Church is about three Portuguese kings who fought over the kingdom of Goa. One king named Holgar called the other two for a meeting in the now famous ‘The Church of Three Kings’ and poisoned them to claim the kingdom. Later, upon discovering that he killed the other two kings, a huge crowd came after him to kill him. The King himself committed suicide by consuming the same poison. All the kings were buried in the same church. It is one of those haunted places in India that is NOT avoided by visitors.

6. Mukesh Mills, Mumbai

Mukesh Mills, built-in 1870 is considered one of the most popular haunted places in India. Many films and the famous song Jumma Chumma de were shot on this location. One of the most famous incidents reported in Mukesh Mills was an actress getting possessed by a spirit and warning off the staff to clear out of the place in a spooky male voice. It isn’t fair to call this place haunted as no ghostly activities were ever recorded in this area. A significant number of people, including some reporters, also report the same that there is certainly something mysterious about the place. Mukesh Mills has always been on the list of most haunted places in India.

7. Taj Palace, Mumbai

When I heard the scary story of Taj Palace, I couldn’t believe the story. It means how one of the most iconic places in India become haunted is worth mentioning for me. I search on Google, and I was surprised to see that it is true. It is not known to many that the Taj palace architect killed himself inside the hotel itself. Visitors have complained about seeing something unusual in the corridor many a time.
